"I'll keep every unique ammy and ring until identified" You do enough runs, you start to notice what drops commonly in your chosen areas as well. (Or maybe you still pick them all up just to sell them - It's two slots ffs.) Something like Necro wands might get tricky, since there are so many varieties, right? So, keep them all or remember: Keep unique Petrified, Tomb, Grave, Lich, Unearthed. Or, set a mental rule that you'll blanket pick up everything Set or Unique that is Exceptional or Elite base without scrutiny. You could memorize all of the sets, but if your focus is only on rare and late game viable gear, then you would be doing yourself a favor by ignoring every set but those. This comes with experience and time played. Memorize all the high value and useful items. You have to familiarize yourself with all of them, or as many as you possibly can.
